Walter Cruz

Plastic artist born in Salto, Uruguay in 1969.
He studied Artistic Drawing and Art History in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started painting in Argentina in the 1990s. He took engraving and lithography courses at the Experimental Graphic Workshop in Havana, Cuba and worked as a guest artist in said workshop. He lives in Mexico since 2008.
He has a degree in visual arts for plastic expression from the University of Guadalajara.
He has made 33 personal exhibitions in different galleries, museums and cultural forums in Uruguay, Argentina, Cuba, Mexico and Canada.
He has held 27 group exhibitions. He has works in collections belonging to cultural institutions in Uruguay, Cuba and Mexico.
Among other relevant artistic projects, “Geopoética” includes his most recent exhibition held at the Libertad Gallery in the city of Querétaro, Mexico in 2019
